Beloved by tens of thousands of practitioners, 26/2 is a 90-minute Hatha yoga class comprising a set sequence of 26 yoga postures and 2 pranayama breathing exercises. Class is conducted in a hot room (approximately 95 degrees) and kept at roughly 40% humidity. The series is designed to work every muscle, tendon, ligament, and joint in the body. Postures are modifiable and can be scaled up or down. All fitness and experience levels are welcome. You haven't done yoga until you've tried a 26/2 class!
Power Vinyasa
Not your mother's yoga class! Power Vinyasa is a 75-minute yoga class held in a hot room (approximately 95 degrees) with upbeat, bass-heavy music. It's perfect for anyone looking to challenge themselves, build flexibility and strength, and refine the breath-body connection. This class is more fast-paced so some prior yoga experience is recommended but not strictly necessary. Modifications are offered and encouraged.
Gentle Hatha
Perfect for Sunday afternoon relaxation, Gentle Hatha is a 90-minute slow flow yoga class held in a warm room (approximately 80-85 degrees). This class facilitates deep, mindful breathing and allows for more time to explore poses. Chaturanga is not cued during this class. Modifications are offered and encouraged. All experience and fitness levels are welcome.
Karma Yoga
Karma Yoga is a 75-minute, donation-based, community-centered Hatha yoga class held in a warm room (80-85 degrees). Hot Yoga Montpelier is dedicated to the idea that yoga is a form of healthcare and healthcare is a human right. Modifications are offered and encouraged. Get Up & Glow is a 75-minute midweek morning mobility class taught in a warm room (approximately 80-85 degrees) to facilitate looseness and relaxation. Enjoy deep breathing paired with juicy neck and shoulder motions, spinal articulation, and targeted joint mobility. This class is low-impact and suitable for all experience and fitness levels.
Somatic Flex
Somatic Flex is a unique 60-minute stretching class held in a warm room (80-85 degrees) that combines aspects of somatic movement, yoga, dance, and Pilates. You might encounter a few downward dogs during class but this isn't pure yoga by any means. This class is low-impact and suitable for anyone looking to systematically improve their flexibility. All fitness levels are welcome.
